I opened my eyes
And looked up at the rain,
And it dripped in my head
And flowed into my brain,
And all that I hear as lie in my bead
Is the slishity-slosh of the rain in my head.
I step very softly,
I walk very slow,
I can't do a handstand-
I might overflow,
So pardon the wild crazy thing I just said-
I'm just not the same since there's rain in my head.

Gushing
It is a very rare occasion that I acknowledge my personal life on a blog but here it is: my boyfriend can, at times, be ridiculously cute and my friends can be incredibly talented. With that said, here's a short video my talented friend Anthony took of my cute boyfriend Tyson. Read more at www.anthonylevas.blogspot.com

For der Svenskar

Its been such a long time! But I'm back, and I'm inspired. Perhaps its the change of weather here in San Diego. Its been chilly, and rainy, and perfectly Autumnal. With the onset of blustery days, and nippy nights, comes my craving for all things comforting; Hot chocolate, fuzzy blankets, and cozy sweaters. Every year, about this time, myself and Lily, begin the search for the perfect cardigans, chunky knits, and sweat sweaters. This year I find myself drawn to all things Scandinavian. Normally I'm not keen on prints, but Norwegian sweaters give me a casual geometric print and classic look. They just beg to be worn while shopping along a wharf for a new pair of clogs, some rye bread, and Eukland linen. If all you enjoy about Svenskar culture is mass produced, build-it-yourself furniture, meatballs, and the um blot, then I suggest you buff up on the Baltic Sea and all its people has to offer.

Real Life vs. The Blog...
Have you ever wondered, while pouring over one of your favorite street fashion blogs, where the hell the blogger found these people? The impeccably styled, with the casual attitude of "oh I just threw this on" must just fall at the feet of the Garance Dores and Scott Schumans of the world. Now I've done a bit of traveling myself and I've never run across one of these "waiting to be photographed people". I've seen plenty of the opposite breed. Countless velour track suits, too many bad t-shirts to count, and oh so many Teva's/ Uggs. This leads me to believe that Blogs like The Sartorialist set these perfect photo oportunities up, and the people in these photos are fashion pod people. Or maybe Scott Schuman just goes way cooler places then I do, and I can find solace in knowing that fashionably creative people really DO exhist.....

Ok, so this guy could easily be an extra in that terrible movie with the dudes from OutKast, but I'm a sucker for Ye Olde Thymey look...

Her alone.

Lately I have been feeling lonely. Not that sad, desperate kind of lonely. This is internal loneliness. The knowledge that no one can ever be inside my head. I often find myself feeling this way when I am surrounded by people. Its the feeling of disconnect from the people and places that surround you. Time for some "me" time....

Public.
This is came home. A blog about very little and a blog about a very lot. This is not going to be a photo blog, or a fashion blog, a design blog, a DIY blog, or a blog about walking. This going to be a blog about photos, fashion, design, projects, people, and maybe some walking.
